At this point, everyone was getting in everyones nerves. We wanted to make to amsterdam, just because...

Only Mr honest had been to Amsterdam.

The weather was horrible getting there, and i wanted the good weather again. It didnt feel right. At one point I had taken off my rainsuit because there not one single cloud in the sky, a minute later it was pouring. But it was already too late, it only takes 1 min to get drenched.

I noticed that in France all the way up to the Netherlands, people drove much slower.

It was nice riding in Italy, drivers constantly did over 100mph on the highway, and everyone was cool about it. If someone was going faster than you, you would pull over ot the right, and get out of the highway. no feelings hurt.

In the netherlands, people tended to hug the left lane alot more. But still moved out of the way when they saw a bunch of bikes coming.

We stopped by the side of road in amsterdam to get a bearing on where we were. I forgot to download the maps for amsterdam, so i did not have the hotels in there. Luckly we had a book with hotels, that had come very handy.

Riding around the city was kewl, it looked entirely differnt from most european cities. It smelled like weed everywhere.

People loved riding bikes here.

A beautiful shot of amsterdam when we got in and found a hotel.

Im a art fanatic, and the landscapes really looked like paintings, and specifically by the master rembrandt. It was nice.

Life up here seemed a little more depressing. Less sun, and it looked very americanized. People didn't seem to take it easy like they did in Spain, there was more of a dash when walking around.

The landscape was pretty flat looking. And they had something entirely new to the region, old school windmills. These really looked beautiful.

The best thing about amsterdam is the blonde women. Im tired of brown hair women, give me some blondes please.

And everyone rode a bicycle, and not just any bicycle. Old school bicycles with huge handlebars. It was quite a contrast from southern Europe. Everyone in Barcelona and every major city is on a scooter. But here, you would see beautiful girls riding bicycles with high heels, carrying umbrellas in one hand, and talking ont he phone in the other.

They didnt really obey the traffic signs, you had to watch out for them. But they were so used to traffic that it was easy. Bicycles even had their own lights. They also had their own bicycle paths, which extended far out of amsterdam into the suburbs, complete with traffic lights.

Amsterdam is based on a bunch of canals, that just run along every road. The city itself is pretty clean.

Now the red light district. It was cool. And as you walk along, you see every woman smiling at you asking you to come in. As you would walk the streets at night, you would see hundreds of red neon lights above glass doors. Most of the women were extremely beautiful. Wax found this depressing that they had to resort to selling their bodies to make a living.

This is the view from our hotel in amsterdam. These canals look really cool, and the whole cities is built around them.

Shared a room with mr honest. I hated how they pu tthe beds together like that. Might as well have been one bed.

We were wondering how many people have fallen in these canals. I mean, amsterdam is a vice city, alcohol is everywhere, drunks are everywhere, surely a drunk has dunked it?

As you walk in front of cafes you would smell the stench of weed. And even in our hotel in the morning there was a big nasty smell. I hate that *****.

We hate in amsterdam, but the food wasnt great. Mr honest told us this when we got to germany. Germans, and nertherland peeps arent known for the food. We should buy food in france and bring it with us next time.

Amsterdam is full of american college aged boys it seems. Who go in for the sex and the weed. Now, i think thats sad that these guys had to go to another country just to get girls and weed.

Everyone spoke english, so there was no trouble communicating.

Taking in the sites of the city

Amsterdam has to be nicer when its not raining.

There is also alot of things to see in Amsterdam, forget the sex and the weed, there is a great tour of the country side that is really beautiful. And you can see Anne franks house, Rembrandt square, Van gogh museum, Heineken brewry, Madam Tussaud wax museum, Sex museum(i had to get that in there)/

But amsterdam is like las vegas, but better. For adult entertainment, there is no equal. Best lap dances i have ever gotten.

We ate at an indonisian restaurant near the hotel. The guy was a avid motorcyclist, and must have talked to us for about 1 hour. Wax did his usual ordering, looking at the menu, seeing what was available, and ASKING for SOMETHING ENTIRELY different. After arguing about how what he was asking was indonisian, the owner finally caved in and told him they didn't have it. This was one of waxes many perks, he ALWAYS asked for something that was not in the menu.

Eventually we told his ass to pick things that are in the menu. lol

After dinner, wax and rf900 were spent. They climbed into the hotel room, and mr honest and I went looking around.

We wanted to take in the city...

The next day, we had to get rf900's bike serviced. We found a dealer nearby with the help from the Indonisian restaurant owner from the night before.

Rf900's chain was pretty bad, it had a tight kink and now it had stretched beyong the service limit, we found the shop.

The shop had some cool bikes outside. check out this r1100s TURBO

The bike shop guy tried to rip off rf900, but rf900 is a sharp guy and got the bill reduced from 190 euros to 130 euros. His bike also had an oil change, and so did waxes aprilia pegaso.

As we started riding out.. Wax pulls over and tells me the bike is leaking oil.... im like.. didn't the bike just have an oil change? What are the chances that oil got in the engine and now was burning a little? hmmm.. Well, they started to look for leaks... I just stood there looking at them, then went to look.. Nothing wrong, they just got a little oil in the engine while they filled it. Didn't use a funnel.

Riding around, let us get a better look of the city. Nothing like riding in a city to fully take in the city. When you ride a bike people are much more friendly to you.

After all of that riding, we decided to get a nice massage

Not sure why it's a thai massage.. But it was good.

We couldnt spend the whole day in amsterdam...

We are off to PARIS.

Great trip!

Congrats on a great trip and thanks a lot for the report. I'm going on a comparatively short ride in Gascogne on a borrowed FZ next month (Toulouse-Pau-Bayonne-Bordeaux-Toulouse). Any travel tips?
