Just came back from the above raid had a fantastic time. Early Friday morning, our pack of 10 bikes (7 Triumphs) rode the 600km 'Long Way Round' trip, which was backroads all the way to Port Macquarie. We left the Gold Coast and Went via Beaudesert, then on The Mt. Lindesay Highway to Kyogle, then the Summerland way from Casino as far as Grafton, then heading into the rainforests finally exiting at Tyringham and taking the Waterfall way through Dorrigo and Bellingen down to the Pacific Highway for the last 100km`s from Coff`s Harbour to Port Macquarie.
At the raid, our pack managed 2 prizes for bikes and one in the raffle, not to mention yours truly and pomE getting first and second to the top of the mountain during a very errr.. competitive group ride out on the Saturday afternoon. The Saturday evening 'do' was excellent, with dinner, live music, much drinking and talking BS. Best of all was getting to meet a lot of people from triumphrat.net some of whom I`d been in contact with for over a year but had never managed to meet up with until this weekend. I still give this site a thumbs up, as a great medium for getting Triumph owners together.
