So I'm planning to take a little ride from Denver to Chicago on my S3. Gotta break in the new tires and see if the seat is really that uncomfortable.

I'm looking for ideas of decent places to stay that are biker friendly and, most importantly are safe to park my beloved motorcycle.

Here's my planned stops (more or less). Does anyone know of decent lodging around any of these?

Des Moine, Iowa
Lake Geneva, Wisconsin
Glen Ellyn, Illinois
Newton, Iowa
McCook, Nebraska

Actually any other suggestions about route, places to avoid, places to eat, good strip clubs, etc. are great to know as well.

Thanks for any help!

The Gold Club in Atlanta is probably worth a little side trip on the way. Bring lots of cash.

:-D

Bring cash?... I was hoping to bring a pen and paper. Anytime I go into a club the girls always ask for my phone number and really make me feel special.

You should stop at the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa. Sure to be biker friendly places to stay there.

Get acquainted with the web site below my name.

It is dedicated to mom and pop inexpensive motels. You can print out the motels for the towns you are interested in, by state.

I have stayed at a lot of them over the years. Most are more than adaquate, some quite nice and some are trash. I always ask to see the room before commiting to stay. Prices range from $25 to $45 for most of them.
