I'm off to the Pyrenees again in a few weeks and busy planning several crossing routes.

There are two France/Spain passes fairly close together near Pau. One is the D26 and the other the D132 - does anyone have any opinions on which one is best ?

Last year i took the D918 through St. Jean de pieds, out towards auritz, then along the mountains on th spanish side to and through Andorra. good route. there are campsites at Cambo les Bains on te french side. also at Caste jon de sos along the way. I did not like the Andorra/France cossing. but the other was fine. ( no customs )

A biker friend says to avoid Andorra at all costs. It's a duty-free port so loads of trucks and diesel all over the roads.

Once you get to Spain you'll find good roads at all levels.

Cheers

I was there on the honda africa twin a few months ago. I really liked Pau. I forget, but near there is a nice town full of bikers. It's near a castle citadel. Definatly a nice place to ride.

I really liked the area around Pau France, very beautiful. But I found myself going through a few french speed traps on the valley.
