Couple of weeks ago, me and Lake took a ride along Hadrian's Wall from Wallsend to Bowness on Solway, here's a video that Lake made of the day. I think he made a good job of it!

Watching that video got me to thinking. How do you wave when you drive on the left hand side of the road? Is that something just us right sided riders do???

We still wave the left hand, or nod your head, although some of the 'fast plastic' brigade ignore us bonnie riders!

Does Lake do this for a living? Brought back memories of a drunken decision, one Saturday night in 1973, to walk it the next day with 2 mates, Frank & Nev.

Next hungover morning we assembled at York Station with packs and left Newcastle Station later that morning. It never occured to us to book accommodation ahead. We walked into the night, until we reached beds at Chollerford. Did it in 4 marvellous days.

Have since done it by bike on a few occasions. Great post.
