Whiskey, a Tent, and Three Days of Food (Adirondacks)

I left the Triumph home for this one and took the V-Strom. But thought I'd share this story here in case anyone is looking to ride the Adirondacks area. It's a wealth of great roads and places to see.

Excellent trip report and pictures joeke3el! Thanks for sharing. That was one of the best trip reports I've read in a while.

I stopped at that damn outside of Honesdale a few weeks ago. Thought it was odd. They have a plaque there and it was put in for flood control. Odd thing is that there is only a little trickle of a creek running around it.
Loved your story. I was thinking about heading to the Dragon next week but decided to stay closer to home and hit the Adirondacks instead. Your pictures just reconfirmed my decision.

Thanks for the info on Honesdale. I figured with all the rain we've had this summer when would we ever see water by it if not now? I suppose something overflows in heavy rains and fills that area at times.

I could go back to the Adirondacks many times and still not see all that it offers. I covered as much as I could with the little time I had but passed many opportunities that'll have to wait until another time.

Thanks for reading.

The ADKs are among the real gems of North America. There are countless roads through the woods to enjoy oneself. Even better to strap on a day pack and a fishing rod, and use some of those roads to access the many lovely places to stop and fish.

And the ADKs has a whole culture and history, as well. It is really a pleasant place to go in all respects.

That is really one of the things I miss since leaving the East.

Very nice writing, and it was nice to see some very familiar scenery through someone else's eyes.
Thanks for the post, look forward to your next ride report.
