Colorado in August 2009

A friend and I are planning a trip to Colorado in August from Philadelphia. I put together a web site on my Mac with some of the prep and equipment reviews. When I leave I'll post updates on Facebook. Take a look if you have nothing better to do!

I see you're headed for Cortez. They repaved Wolf Creek Pass recently, so it's in great shape. Try and hit 550 too. And 152 between Placerville and Norwood is bliss.

Hit the Main Street Brewery in Cortez (just in case it's opened since you moved away. It's great.

Thanks for the info, Wolf Creek used to be a real adventure! We're going to camp at the KOA like real tourists.

Well, I left for my trip this morning. Outside a little rain it was beautiful weather. I did 654 miles over 11 hours. I leave Indy tomorrow for KC!

That's a good days ride!

If you want to see pictures of some of the roads I recommended, taken this past weekend, check out pages 2 and 3 of this album.
