Description: Wasn't sure in which category this should be placed , but this seemed most reasonable.

My goal was to eliminate, or maybe just diminish, the ugly blue fingerprints burned on my Thruxton exhaust headers. The dealership did not wipe down the pipes after prep and the oil from someone's fingers made ugly blue smudges almost instantly before mile 1. Even after removing the AI prior to my first ride the smudges got worse. While I like the blue and gold colors on the pipes I wanted it to be somewhat uniform without these splotches. After reading many posts Blue-Job seemed like the product to do the trick.

I purchased the product through Amazon.com
This stuff is expensive, realtively speaking. I paid approximately $15 including shipping. I probably could have found it in a store somewhere to save a couple bucks but it wasn't worth the time and effort. You don't get much in the hockey puck-sized container - about 20% full of the white powder.

I read the directions and started working on the pipes. The surrounding gold tones turned back to the bright and shiny stainless color, but after repeated applications I was barely seeing any movement of the fingerprints. After 10 minutes of vigorous rubbing on each pipe I was able to decrease the size of each smudge by about 75%.

Before and after pics shown above. It was tough to get accurate pictures because of poor lighting and all the reflective surfaces in the area.

Conclusion: This stuff works great for shining up your heads and cans. However, I would not suggest this product as a panacea for REMOVING trouble spots like burned on fingerprints. It definitely helped the situation, though, and I will hang on the rest of the can for making the shiny bits sparkle after a wash down.
