Pros:
Cons: Many "Track Days" do not allow flip front helmets.

Just a note to say that many Track Day school/clubs do not allow the use of a front flip helmet.

Pros: Double D ring chin strap
Cons: Pre installed pinlock pins on the visors

I bought the MULTITEC as it's the only flip front helmet with a secure double D ring chinstrap. I don't like the often cheap and flimsy quick release buckles that so many helmet manufacturers use.

The chinbar operates with a smooth action and shuts with a positive click so you know its locked. It opens easily with one hand.

It comes complete with two visors (one tinted) and the Shoei Whisper strip kit designed to reduce wind noise. I couldn't fit the whisper strip kit because I installed a Cardo Scala headset and it interfered with the wiring.
The two visors as standard are good value, but they are pre fitted with pin lock visor pins as many are nowadays. Not a problem in itself, it's really a matter of personal taste. I find the pinlock insert sits low and the top edge is in my field of vision, which is a bit of a distraction at times. The pins are in the wrong position.
Visor change mechanism is good but I find a bit fiddly, not as simple as my Arai.

Ear plugs are a must as the wind noise is more than normal which is associated with flip fronts.

This is my first flip up helmet. I find it's really convenient in situations when you would other wise have to remove a full face helmet. It's certainly no replacement for a good full facer, the chinbar just wouldn't give the same protection for a direct impact. It's a touring helmet not a racing helmet (although it's ACU Gold stickered).
I think it is one of the best flip ups available. It's also used by many police and paramedic motorcyclists.
