Who is out here in the Bay Area? I am in the East Bay in the Brentwood area. Could use even more reasons to get out, ride, and socialize.

Hey Doxiedog, I'm in Valley Springs, about an hours ride from you, but I frequently ride down to Modesto for business or to the Triumph shop. Maybe we can hook up for a ride some time. If you're interested in riding up here on great two lane mountain roads give me a shout. I'm retired, so I ride during the week as well as on weekends.

Hey all, name is Howard and just picked up a Street Triple today! Been wanting a Triumph for a long time but never could justify picking one up...until now of course. Sits nice and pretty next to the zx6r that I haven't figured out what to do with yet.

Anyhow, I live in SF and usually look to ride on the weekends. Hope to see some of you around.

My thruxtons at the shop getting the final touches finished up and won't be ready untill after Thanksgiving which I'm relally excited about picking it up! But my hypermotard is calling my name! So I'm game for a ride in this slightly wet weather! I'm by no means a fair weather rider so pm me. I'm not from the area and would love to find some good rides.
Cheers!

I'm a little south of Sacramento myself, but end up in the east bay at least once a week for work. Sadly these days I seldom get to ride to work as I need the truck to haul stuff.

Monday rode to work to Pittsburg from Berkeley and thought I had enough layers on and boy was I wrong! I got a new respect for the year round riders up here in the bay. Being from so cal it's not even a thought but I'm all ready looking into insulated riding gear. :)

Yeah, as long as it's not storming (the next 4 DAYS) ... I'm riding. It's not really any colder on the Peninsula or in SF in August most of the time then it is in November so why not. :)

When I was stationed on Treasure Island (going to Electronics school) I had no transportation except my Honda 305 Superhawk, so I rode it year round. I'll admit that it did get pretty chilly sometimes.

Yeah, it gets kinda chilly. The wife and I recently moved back to the SFBA from St. Louis. I rode there unless there was snow/ice on the ground so the chill here while it is something makes me feel like a wuss if I complain at all about it. There is nothing like a ride on a clear day with temps in the teens. It doesn't put hair on ones chest so much as freeze it off. ;)

Try snow:(
Yeah, I thought I was ahead of the storm; turned out the bridge was washed out...by the time I back-tracked & got back on the main highway (108), the storm had caught up with me. By the time I hit 3,000 ft. elevation, it was snowing. Fortunately, it was really dry snow & I only had a few more miles to go (plus another 1,000 ft. elevation gain). (Good story but only need to experience it once...so I live with the cold but try to avoid ice and snow:)

San Jose RAT

Yeah I'm in Sunnyvale.

San Jose RAT meet up the second Wednesday of the month at the The Duke of Edinburgh, North Wolf Road, Cupertino. 8pm

I embarrassed to say I've never met these guys, even thought the Duke is a 5 min ride from my house.

They also have rides: Sunday after the monthly meeting,
kickstands up between 9 and 10, check the ride schedule,
leaving Starbucks, North Wolfe Road, Cupertino

Here is their website:http://www.sanjoseratpack.com/

If you see us out there stop and say hey! Me = Red Thruxton or Black/Silver Monster, My wingman = Silver Bonne or Blue speed Triple....[/QUOTE]

I think our group did meet you out there last summer. Me on a Triumph America, Dave on a Black Rocket 3, Big Mike on his Red Goldwing. We were stopped at a parking lot and you and your buddy also stopped. You were on your Thruston, and I don't remember what your buddy was riding.

I am out your way nearly every Sunday morning, early. I drop into Toby's for a coffee before heading off again. Pt Reyes is a great town

No. Mine is black with a white tank cover in its current configuration. I'll soon have Kineo wheels

TuneECU service?

Anyone in the South Bay / Peninsula / SouthEast Bay willing to load a map for my Daytona 675? I live in Santa Clara / work in Palo Alto and dealer charging $50+ to load a tune doesn't seem worth it. Not something I necessarily want to play around with often either since I'm generally pretty bad at this stuff :(

Will compensate for time :)
