That is all highways, there has to be a better roads than that?? What about RT 611south, rt 31, 46, 519, 206 or something like that. Again this is coming from someone who seems that can't get a hook up in the great RAT pack after 2 months of asking? It is very sad, there is not even enough Rat rides in NJ to bring the Triumph name across or even sport touring or what not.

Greg, I've ridden all those roads.
In fact, we rode all of them in one day a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday morning ride.
But to cover 200 miles to Gettysburg is going to take at least a little bit of slab time if you want to get there by Happy Hour.
You'll see, we'll be spending most of Saturday riding secondary roads around Gettysburg. It'll be a great time.

Customized Bonneville from New Jersey at Gettysburg RAT Raid

I attended the Gettysburg Rat Raid this past weekend and saw in the parking garage a beautiful new Bonneville that was customized to look like a 1967 TR6. It had the parcel rack attached to the tank (not with suction cups, but with the inserts welded in place), a 1966 Lucas tail light, a 60s style seat, chrome fenders and period-correct green paint on the gas tank.

Can anyone tell me how I can get in touch with the owner of this gorgeous bike?

Ned

Added Oct. 2, 2007:

I found the owner and we have spoken about the bike.

Hi Ned

I saw that bike there as well. Real nice. Might want to post this same message in the bonneville section. Maybe have better luck.

Erwin

How do you post a thumb nail anyway?

If you try to post a photo in a thread that is not already existing somewhere else on the internet, but rather, you load it from your hard drive, it is subject to a max 97.7k file size (if in .jpg format, otherwise it might be subject to an even smaller file size) and will post automatically as a thumbnail.

new rider in south jersey

Just wanted to chime in. I just picked up my Bonneville on Monday. Gonna try to get to some of the meets. My friend said there's a show in York the 1st week in June. Anyone have the specifics on that?
