Olympia WA Rats

Time for our monthly ride - this month to Ocean Shores by as many back roads as possible. Meet at the Yamaha shop (because there isn't a Triumph shop) at 6807 Martin Way E, Olympia. We start showing up around 9:30, kick tires and eat doughnuts until about 10 and then hit the road.

It is time for the November version of the monthly 2nd Saturday ride of the former
Olympia Rat pack. As usual, all are welcome. This Saturday (11/10), meet at
Yamaha at 6807 Martin Way in Lacey/Olympia starting around 9:30 to
bench race a bit with the plan to leave on the ride a little after 10.
We'll make it a run to South Bend. I'm looking at the maps to find good
roads that work to and then parallel Hwy 6 for the trip there. I'm sure
we can find some curves through the woods on the way.
Tod

And for those of you like me, regarding 11/10, Semper Fi.

Greetings from So Cal!

Hi Tod, Randy here...

Is Cycle Mart (dont remember their new name), no longer selling Triumphs?

Glad to see you guys are still riding. OUr nearest RAT pack is about 70 or 80 miles south of here. Kind of a bummer.

The Bud Ekins memorial service is tomorrow (Sun) morning. I'll be going, and will post photos later that evening. Without a RAT pack around here its hard to find "safe & sane" riders to travel with... oh well.

Say hey to all the guys for me!

~Randy

December, 2nd Saturday ride (12/8) -- planning to ride up to Lakewood to new Triumph shop and meet the crew (apparently the bikes haven't come in yet) and then we'll continue on to visit Cisco at Gonzales Motors in Tacoma who has the cool old stuff (Triumph dealer in the '60s and '70s as well as a former racer). Depending on weather and road conditions, we may try and go over the narrows and head down to Shelton.

Randy,
CycleMart closed last May -- they were moving a lot of bikes, parts, and gear (yep, they had that stuff) and the repair shop was busy as could be. Then bang, they announced they were closing and a couple weeks later, they were gone. The leftover Rats still carry-on every 2nd Saturday, year-around (unless sticking snow or ice). Come back for a visit and we'll ride the old roads (except in Lewis County where they were wiped out by the flood this week).

Second Saturday ride time again. Saturday, January 12.

We are meeting at Triumph of Tacoma in Lakewood around 10. We'll try and leave from there around 10:30. A couple of us are going to meet at Yamaha in Olympia by 9:30 and hang out just a few minutes (10 or so) before heading north --
feel free to meet up at either location.

Once more it's our second Saturday of the month ride. This Saturday (2/9), meet at Yamaha Motorsports of Olympia at 9:30 for brief bench race and then north to Triumph of Tacoma (Lakewood Motosports) around 10. I'm told there will be brownies waiting. Feel free just to come for a brownie or two and to meet the Rats.

Second Saturday ride, 3/8/08

It's Second Saturday monthly ride time again. Meet at Lakewood
Motosports / Triumph of Tacoma (12007 Pacific Hwy S; Lakewood, WA
98499, 253-581-0812). The goal this month is to actually leave shortly
after 10. We'll find some backroads and head in the direction of Port
Townsend. So come on out and enjoy the ride.

Once againit is time for the monthly second Saturday ride. We'll be leaving Lakewood Motosports (Triumph of Tacoma) a little after 10. We'll cover some distance and ride some curves. Probably Dewatto/Tahuya and Mason County into Grays Harbor County, but we're flexible. Come on out and join the ride.
