Great ride

Many thanks Mike, for putting together a great ride. It was a fun group of people, and a very scenic ride. As was mentioned earlier, Westchester Beemers joined us Trumpet riders for the trip. I'd say the median age of the group was somewhere around 50, which suits me just fine. The fall foliage is still in full color where we rode, with the Maples hanging on tightly to their leaves. The rural route felt like we were riding in Vermont at peak foliage, with a number of placid lakes along the way. I try to ride until the salt falls, but if this was a last ride of the season for anyone, it couldn't have gotten any better.

Thanks to Alex at Branchville Motors Triumph http://www.branchville.com/
for his RAT support & sponsorship. He carries an extensive line of in stock motorcycle goods and clothing - well worth a stop to shop - on US route 7 in Ridgefield, CT.

Hey Mike, Thanks for the invite and the great ride. We should plan a big ride in the spring and I`ll bring a few of us from Rockwell to join. The day turned out real nice. The ride was very scenic and enjoyable, and the company was great.
I am bad with names but good with faces so I`ll just extend a Thank You to the gentleman that brought us to our lunch stop at Dockside. The food was fantastic.
I`ll have to keep my eye open for your upcoming rides.
A warm thank you to Alex from Branchville who was kind enough to supply some hot coffee and donuts and allow us to meet up in the shop to establish our ride agenda.
I`ll also work on some rides over this way as you are all welcome at anytime to join with us over at Rockwell.

Thanks again, Mike

You guys must have had the thermals and electric vests set on high. It was COLD that morning and I just couldn't bring myself to take the bike out, especially with no fairing and no plug for my electric vest (need to install the accessory plug). Anyway, sounds like it was a good time. Maybe we do some more rides in the spring.

A good ride next Spring would be Rhinebeck/Woodstock/Kingston, NY. I think Martin may know a good route there.

Brilliant everyone, I'm just glad you all had a good time--makes the effort worth it. :-) We'll do stuff next year. We'll get together with the Westchester BMW guys again as well as the Libby's RAT pack, and I'm sure we can coordinate some good stuff with our RAT brethren in Nuevo York!

Meantime the Tiger's (finally) getting its 24k, new chain & sprockets, and that ceramic black offroad can and exhaust. Should be done soon...just as our temps drop below freezing. Got me some new thermals at the REI winter sale though!

I'll watch the skies for a nice day and see if we can't get ourselves out for a midday ride one of these Sundays. See you all around!

P.S. And, can you believe it, not ONCE did Triumph ever even get back to me on our RAT application...!

Yeah Triumph's pretty slow on things, but who cares. Just to let everyone know, there is a European open house at Gengras Triumph,BMW,Ducati on Dec 15. They're giving 15% discount on acc & parts, etc. Also the IMS is at the Jacob Javits center on Dec 28-30. I'm heading down on Friday morning.
Well, everyone have a nice holiday and see you on that first nice day!

Thanks for the info Matt! Here's a link for anyone inclined to make the trip. Myself I am pretty well set, I think...got some winter pants with extra armor on the way from NewEnough.
