Going to sign up for the Gettysburg RAID. Newbie to RAID's and RAT stuff (new triumph owner)

What should I expect?
Cruisers? Sport-Touring? Good mix? Family Friendly or Sturgis? Good for solo attendees or come with a buddy? etc?

I've been to two so far. Not as big as you think it will be. A little bit of everything though. I'll be at the Gettysburg raid. Definatly NOT Sturgis type. Very relaxed. Good times, see you there!!

My only Raid was to Pocono last year. It was a great event.
There were about 200 people there with all kinds of Triumphs and even a HD and a riceburner or 2 I think. You'll likely meet some folks from this site and some you never knew before.
A weekend of motorcycles and fun.

You will be in good company brother. This my first Raid as well. The others in my RAT pack said they had a great time at last years Raid in the Poconos. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

This will be our 5th Raid. All in Pa. (3 to St. Mary's, 1 last year to Pocono). If anybody remembers the Little red headed boy running around, he's mine. The wife drives with him, I ride. We see people that we met before each year. Lots of fun socially. The riding can be hit or miss. Depends which group you fall in with. ( I ride a Bonnie) Talking to people before the rides helps you choose. I only live about an hour away but we're staying at the hotel anyhow. A mini-vacation. see you there, Ed

I started this thread to comment on RAIDs in general. I'm hoping others will add their impressions, as I'm sure the format changes a bit based on who is hosting the RAID.
