Hey all, just bought a 03 Speed Four. I was wondering if there is a pack in the Richmond, VA area. I know of the one in DC and VA Beach areas.

At one time some folks e-mailed me about starting up a pack from the dealership in Colonial Heights. Have you called them? They might be able to point you in the right direction

No pack in Richmond. It was likely me that pinged you Triumphite, as I was thinking of building a pack (I was the co-leader in Maine before my recent move) but lost interest. There was some chatter at Colonial about the owner's son's neighbor's cat starting one, but that never amounted to anything and IMHO was a response to the noise a couple of us were raising about starting a pack.

The Richmond BMW group is pretty good and loaded with Trumpets. The current Prez is a Triumph rider. Their linky is: Richmond BMW Riders

It is a shame there is no RAT pack in the Richmond area. I know one of the guys at Colonial Cyclesports has mentioned that they would support one, but hadn't found anyone willing to take the responsibility to lead a group...glad to hear there are plenty of Triumphs in the BMW group though, haha.

Why don't you do it? I left our RAT pack and started an other DC based Triumph group. Our dealer sucks and nobody likes them, so DCTriumph ws born.

158 members and we don't need dealer "sposership" to help us. Plus they NEVER did anything anyway!!!

That's a good attitude. Go out there and do it! The dealers are busy, you know, being dealers and trying to have outside lives. If you want a riders' club we've got to handle it ourselves.

I don't have the time for organization but if someone starts one I will participate. I live just about 22 miles south of Colonial Cycle Sports in Colonial Heights.

If anyone is in the area and just wants to ride with an old timer, give me a shout.

All you need to do is contact the dealer and volunteer to be a leader, from the sounds of things here. Then the dealer can contact Triumph and have your group put on the official pack list on the Triumph site. Leaders get a few perks thrown at them from time to time....

You are better off with an enthusiast leading the group, rather than a dealer employee, IMHO. There is no requirement that the RAT leader be an employee of the dealership, only that the pack have a dealer affiliation.
