If u were planning to go and stay at Pocono RAT RAID host venue;
Pocono Manor reservations for Triumph RAT RAID Special Price -
TOLD ROOMS ARE SOLD OUT!

Oh well; I understood one of the reasons RAT Central changed from the St. Mary's venue was "size" restrictions. And this switched to venue Pocono Manor RAT Raid is still a month away, and "special price rooms" are sold out.

Today when I called; The reservations fella said, couple of people called yesterday, and he had to explain to them the same thing, "special rooms sold out at that special low price." He did say, "Let me check to see if they (Raid Rulers) have opened up more rooms for the event." Upon looking he reponded that "they had not". Booking ahead a month in advance - is EARLY for us

Oh well, my deck needs reconstructed as a T100 Launch Pad that week anyway.

Terrible Situation...

Pocono Manor; Out of Rooms for RAID: I went up there Tuesday and scoped the place out.

Today I reserved a room at the "new" Comfort Inn & Suites, a Single King (obviously befitting of me stature), for Friday July 7th and Saturday 8th, checking out Sunday, $129/day. It's no Pocono Manor Resort, but it's 1 (one) mile away on Rt940 just at Rt314 where the RAID venue is being held. They have 2 like rooms left, for anyone who wants to grab them. Pool, workout, and continental breakfast.

There is also a more resort-like Holiday Inn Express down 940 (East) and up 611 (North) off on a side parallel road, that is a few miles away, same price range according to the Web. I saw the signs when I was up there on recon. Pool, sauna, whirl, workout, continental breakfast, etc.

Comfort Inn: 1-570-839-9282:
CLIK ERR Quality Inn

Holiday Inn Express: 1-570-839-3600, 546 POCONO BLVD., MOUNT POCONO, PA 18344:
CLIK ERR Holiday Inn Express

For you late as possible planners, like me, you can still hook up and attend this event in our back yard. Don't forget to mail in your RAT RAID Registration Form with the CCard# or Check for $50/person.

And there's more places and rooms in the area.

Another event!

More rooms have suddenly opened up at the Pocono Manor - 6.
We cancelled the reservation at Quality Inn, and took one at Pocono Manor. Jump on them if you were looking to come.
