Okay, just moved back to Tucson and there isn't a RAT Pack, as yet. Are there any riders in the area??? BTW, I stopped by the local dealer and they have sent their paperwork to Triumph, so hopefully we'll have a local RAT Pack soon...

Welcome. I live in Tucson too. I'm very interested in a Tucson RAT Pack. I work evenings and haven't been able to get to any of the rides in Phoenix or meetings in Phoenix. Have you been up Mount Lemon yet. I also recommend Kit Peak and take a weekend to ride the Coronado trail up to Alpine. :upthumb:

No, haven't been up Mt Lemmon yet. Plannin to do that when things warm up a bit more. Kitt peak and Coronado trail sound good too. Salt River Canyon could be a fun ride too. Let me know???

Vanpraag,
I am in Tucson also. I have met some other Triumph owners from here at last years Raid that was in Prescott. No such event this year though. One of the guys I met last year was telling me that he was talking with the local dealer to set up/sponsor a group so it sounds like that may be happening finally. Phoenix is just too far to go for a dinner meeting and the rides start too early to get there from here so it would be great to get a local group going.
I passed a guy on an Adventurer last month but I was in my cage on the way to work and did not get a chance to talk with him. Haven't seen him since. If you have any news about a local RAT group please post and I can call the people I know

OK, let's get this RAT thing going! I'm actually a Tucson native, my family's been here since 1922. I'm VERY familiar with this part of the world! I started riding after about a 30 year hiatus when I bought a wrecked Tiger on eBay last April. I have since rebuilt it and have put about 14K miles on it, in Arizona and all over the US. I would love to get a group together - I live in the area of Sabino and Tanque Verde - and plan some rides to show off my state. I travel for the university and have been doing as much as possible on the Tiger. My colleagues think I'm a bit daft, but the Tiger made me do it! I tried Kitt Peak weekend before last, but the 8" of snow closed the road. I rode over Mt Lemmon in December on a 80 degree day, the road down the back is a hoot! Too cold right now!
I was at the Prescott raid last April, but the Tiger was only a basket case at that point.
Contact me at wsfee@comcast.net and let's get something going.

Okay, Just got off the phone with the dealer here in town. Story is, they don't have anything going yet. However, I gave the guy I spoke to my name and number and around the end of this month or beginning of next month an area manager is coming in to town and he's gonna give me a call a few days before he gets here and hopefully get a meeting with him. I would hope to set something up for us! If your interested, send me an email: vanpraag1@hotmail.com and let me know. Maybey if we can get this meeting and show up in force, so to speak, we can initiate something.

old news
This thread seemed to die about a yr+ 1/2 ago with no new responses. I was recently hooked up with TucsonBill and he seems to have a group of regular riders. I don't know if they are "Triumph" sponsored but I will call my dealer and see what kind of arm twisting commitment I can get from him. I'll let you know how far into H*LL he tells me to go. LOL

You guys are on the right track. The "official" RAT pack is the best way to go for you AND your local dealer. You could also try emailing RatAmerica@TriumphMotorcycles.com to see if they can help you get connected and started up.
