Euro bike track day - TWS
This isn't just for Austin, since we will meet at TWS.
JC at Lone Star is working to get a Triumph\bmw group to dovetail one of the upcoming track days. The idea is to get a group of people who know each other to show up for the "C" group, or whatever the program calls the learning group.
We need about 25 people showing interest to give us 15 or so to actually sign up. Once we pick a date, I'm sure we'll lose some because of schedule conflict. These track days fall on a Friday or Monday.
There is not a set date in mind, but sooner rather than later is the idea. If you are not on the Austin RAT forum, you can reply here, or send me a PM and I'll make sure JC puts you on the list.
My buddy will be on his Monster, so we can slip some outsiders into the group.

This is coming up pretty soon. Details still pending, but we should be at New Ulm by 10:30am.
23rd Annual New Ulm Rallye - May 18th - 20th, 2007
www.bmoaonline.com
Twenty five miles east of La Grange. A fun ride out with a couple hours checking out the old iron.

Dang, I need to get my motor running!
I'm waiting on 4 rod bolts from Lone Star that they should have today, then it's thrash city!
I'm hoping to get a few hours in Thurs/Fri night, and then finish it up Sat/Sun if I don't have too long of Mother's day obligations....
New Ulm was fun last year. I didn't stay overnight, but me and my dad rode out from Burnet to New Ulm and back in a day, and it was hot as hell too. That was a long day in the saddle. Hot and dry, in the mid 90s if I remember right.
Their field events are cool.
If I can get my bike running and broken in, and be sure it's all good I may try to make it out there this year, but it'll be tough.

Cool Jeff. One guy has said he can't make it Sunday, so we may head out Saturday too. I've heard to get the most of of this ralley, you really need to stay overnight. Not planning on that, but it does sound like a good ralley.

looks like I won't make it. Lone Star didn't get all my parts when they said they would.
I'd think to get the most out the New Ulm rally you'll want to bring your drinking shoes and camping gear.

Five Bonnies and one Duc. Weather was fantastic, county and FM roads all the way out and back, and around 35 classic bikes on display when we arrived.
The BMWs were a strong group, several very nice Nortons, BSAs and Triumphs. A few flat trackers looked very solid, and probably would do well on a track today.
Our next ride is to the Austin Road Runners classic show June 3rd. This is the same weekend as the ROT rally.
