As a first time Triumph owner, this will be the initial RAT experience. What kind of happens can I expect and anyone from here going? I know there will be some planned rides and a dinner but what else?

Hey, this will be my first RAT Raid also. I'm coming from Great Falls, Montana. I just bought my first bike in years last November. I have reservations at the Hume Hotel and I'm jacked about going. I do plan on getting my Passport since crossing the border is getting tougher and tougher all the time. I've been talking with Idahotb and he's given me some great information since he's been a couple of 3 times. Sounds well organized and a lot of fun. Maybe we can hookup when we get there and be " Noobs " together. My whole summer is going to be planned around this event. I have reservations for two since my buddy is planning on riding up with me on his Honda. If he bails, I may have an extra bed in my room. The wife doesn't want to go, bummer :hihi:

Hey Butchster,IdahoTB isn't steering you wrong. The Kootnay Raid is a blast.I've attended all three and won't be missing this years event.Excellent roads, banquet, setting and GREAT people. Are you planning to ride down here this spring to hook up with IdahoTB?He lives about 25 miles from me.We've done quite a few miles together and have some of the best traffic free roads anywhere. If we don't see you this spring,we'll see you at Nelson.

I'm planning on going. Getting ready to send in my registration. Going to leave early Tues. and plan on doing 700 miles a day. That should get me to the border by late Wed.. I plan to bed down and leave Thurs. morning and ride up through Jasper and Banff National parks through the Canadian Rockies and back down to the raid sometime on Friday. Going to be one hell of a ride! Never say die! :-D
