RATS in Tri-State (IL, WI, IA) Area???
Just bought a Bonneville and am living in the far northwest corner of Illinois. Wondering if there are any groups or other Triumph riders up this way?

Check out the Triumph Midwest Rally, Galena, coming July 10, 11 and 12. This is sponsored by mostly Bonneville America riders, but of course any and all Triumphs are welcome.
Since you live there, no worries about a hotel room. FYI to others, most hotels are fully booked, but you can still get rooms in Dubuque across the river, or sites at local campgrounds.
Also, it's a bit of a stretch for you, but Team Triumph, over in Janesville, Wisconsin, is a great Dealer, and also supports the local RAT group. Twice annual "Slimey Crud" runs (spring and fall) and track days at Blackhawk Farms Raceway in Beloit, Illinois. These are a blast, and dollar for dollar, one of the best "upgrades" in performance for your riding experience!! Guaranteed you'll improve your riding ability.
Check it out.

Thanks for the heads up. I just emailed the guy in charge. I wished I would have heard of it sooner as I would have totally helped with some of the legwork.
I have checked the Team Triumph website before and am planning to go on one of their rides...they are about 2 hours away. I've been meaning to make it over there just to check out their shop...and it would be a nice ride over on the 2 lane.
Again, thanks for the tip.

You'll find Team Triumph to be great. They are a "Triumph" only dealer, and real enthusiasts. It's 1.5 hours from my place, but as you state, a great ride through some beautiful Wisconsin twistie's laced through fine hills and valleys.
They also have used bikes, and tons of performance parts, riding gear... stuff.
I ride there with my son from time to time to pick up kid's Triumph T-shirts for my 2 grandkids, and one XXXL for myself. They have a huge selection.
You will find that the Rock River Rats are roadracing/ respectful riding enthusiasts more than "drag racers", which is great. Those with extensive racing experience wear Helmets and gear, and respect the twisties, etc. These runs are sorta like the opposite of Sturgis, if you get the drift.
Fun, yes... beer, yes..., skillful and challenging riding through the countryside, yes. Acting like large, undisciplined children... no.
Great folks, look forward to meeting you when you go. Keep in touch.
