South Wales

OK I know I've moaned about North Wales (speed cameras!) in the past but last weekend saw my first two-wheeled excursion into South Wales. Due to my location, South Wales has always remained just beyond a days ride-out, so a group of us organised a weekend tour, and wow! what an area for motorcycling! We rode the Brecon Beacons/Black mountains, Llyn Brianne, and the Elan Valley in mid Wales. Our little tour coinded with 3 days of sunshine which always helps. I'm sure we'll be retuning for more next year.

Nice photo Chris Have to agree with you about the excellent roads, as our group (17 in total but 3 groups) headed down to Saundersfoot a couple of weeks ago. The A44 from Aberystwth to the A470 is absolutely superb and definately worth a second visit.
Any clues to decent road #s, as it looks like you found some nice routes.

Told you so.

How lucky am I living in this area. This view is from the scenic viewing area as you go over the Epping ranges in the beacons. What you see is not cloulds but fog in the valley absoloutley stunning sceneary all over this area. We road down into this on way to Shropshire for the weekend.

I thought the Tigers colours complimented the old AA box at Devils Bridge !

Hijacked to include North Wales

Sundays run was to Nant - the forgotten village, an early start with wet roads due to Saturdays drizzel kept the pace down, but it was warm (yes October) and as we progressed so the pace warmed up
Pic 1 - Our little group at the Cafe
Pic 2 - View from the first hairpin at the top
Pic 3 - View of Village fron the top
