Club racing is great to watch

Anyone ever go to club racing meetings? Cadwell park has great racing on at least twice a month through to October, normally about £10 for the full days racing and total access to all parts of the circuit including the pits/paddock, if you like BSB/WSB then come and see the feeder racing, great fun, look me up if you do come as I marshal there almost every meeting.

Hi doodledog,
Cadwell Park used to be my second home. In the late 70's early 80's I raced at club level at Cadwell on 250 single cylinders. IMO club racing beats a BSB meeting hands down, no messing about between races, just good honest sport!
Its a while since I've been to Cadwell, I'm originally from Lincoln, but moved to Cumbria about ten yrs ago. My mam still lives at Saxilby, so I will try to combine my next visit with a club meeting. Maybe see you there!

sounds good mate, unless I am doing a BSB/WSB or the MotoGP in June I will be marshaling, normally at Gooseneck or Hairpin, PM me if your going to get there sometime. Probably will have a spare ticket or two.

I marshalled for BEMSEE for a short while, until illness put a stop to that, but I returned a couple of years later as a member of a race team. Alas, I wasn't doing the racing, I was just a dogs body for the team. But it was fun while it lasted.

Unfortunately over here we really only have Kirkiston, Bishopscourt and Mondello. Of course we have the NW200 this week and we have just had the Cookstown 100, but for a small island we have a very large biking paternity and few places to do club races as these three places are usually fully booked well in advance.

A few of my friends used to race in Derby Phoenix (?). I think they've all stopped now though.

Last year one of them had a huge accident at Cadwell. He's mended now and back on a bike, but I think his Mrs has said no more racing.

We certainly had some good days out watching his meetings.
