reserve light, optimate
Hi Peeps, finally got my Triple on saturday, ive got a couple of questions that ive tried to "search" answers for but no luck.
Can anyone give me a rough indicator as to how many miles i might be able to do before i need to fill up? ( during "spirited" riding ).
Also, is it the done thing to use an optimate on these bikes, i used one on my last bike all through winter.
Finally- how the hell do i clean the thing without the alarm going off all the time?
Obvious answer is to put the key in and turn the ignit. on i know, but that will surely drain the battery?
Thanx in advance for any advice.

your alarm should have a "service mode" so you can clean, fill up etc without it going off.

always used an Optimate on my triples without any problems.

The alarm will have a "service mode" designed for use when you are cleaning the bike, or moving it around the garage etc.

Check in the manual for directions, or/and if it's a Datatool, you can get the manual from their website.

Only had mine a few weeks but for what its worth the fuel light comes on at around 150-160 miles after filling the tank to the brim. At this point there should be around 4 litres left and I am getting around 7-9 miles per litre.
