A reliable bike (in its day) but 20+ years old won't help.
Fortunately, you can still get plenty of spares.
Fingers crossed this doesn't turn out to be an expensive bargain!!

Hi

I had a CB250 T for a while, it was a good workhorse took me through a couple of winters without missing a beat. Ok it suffered from old age and bad electrical connections and the front caliper needed to be kept free from road crud but apart from that it was pretty reliable.......... oh yes they do rattle a bit and need revving to get a move on but as a work horse they are pretty good

well I got her home yesterday and we went for a spin this morning, all seems to be fine with the bike and its in fantastic nick for a 25 year old, insurance was £71 for the year, the thing is I had one of these 250 Honda's in the 70's and I am amazed how crap the brakes are and the suspension is so stiff, power well 27BHP never did feel massive but man its weak! When I was a teen it was the dogs, oh how things change, very happy with it though as its a real ride down memory lane.

Can I join you down Memory Lane? Your post brought it all back to me. I had a CB250N Super Dream in Black with red trim way back in 1981. I had the bike when the car failed it's MOT a few years after I got married. I bought it new and had it for 3 years, sold it and bought a car again when my first child was born. We rode it as our only form of transport, a lot of it 2 up. I thought it was a great bike, well it was at the time. I had a few other bikes after that, just for fun and I also raced a Grasstrack bike (BSA & A Bultaco) in the late 70's and early 80's. I have just come back to biking after a 20 year lay off and fullfilled my dream and bought a 2007 Bonneville T100. I am like a big kid again. With my more 'mature' outlook I am riding to enjoy rather than scare myself sh*****S
