Melton Mowbray

Any of you fellow RAT's out there live in the Melton area?

Maybe start our own RAT pack or do you ride elsewhere?

Onlyt had the Bonnie two weeks and already planning an empire. Hahahahaha!

I know the "season" is coming to a close but plenty of time to plan for next year if you're like me and don't plan to do too much wet/cold weather riding - yes I know I'm a wuss...

Other Motorcycle: anything I can get.
I am at Spalding about 30 miles away, and ride to melton resonably often as there is a good ride for me from home through Grantham to Melton and back via Stamford, I am in the peterborough pack, which is not too far from you, there is normally something going on at the weekends through them and a monthly meeting at EYE near Webbs of peterborough, I dont think a melton pack would be a goer as the peterborough one is still very short of members and people come and go. I also get to the livestock auctions at melton occasionally, have you been up to Cadwell yet, thats a nice run from you, see my other post re racing.

Hi DoodleDog.

I did see the posts regarding Cadwell. I was last there in '77 to see Barry Sheen ride. Along with Mick Grant, Ron Haslam etc etc. I got to spend time, as a star struck 17 year old, with Barry even looking after his bike prior to one of the races...

My Bonnie arrived 2 weeks ago... and I bought my gear from Webbs at Eye.

So, just the 27 year break. The Bonnie seems tall compared to my old T100R Daytona (mind you it was along time ago!) and slightly top heavy. But she's gorgeous

Sounds like a local Rat is ambitious. Peterborough it is then... cool!

Good stuff, see if you can ride over to cadwell again, I am sure you would enjoy it, I personally don't get to the rat meeting much as I am away all week with work and spend lots of time at Cadwell at the weekends, but from around mid oct I will be doing the Sunday rideouts, hope to see you there.

Hiya,

I'm in West Bridgford, just South of Nottingham, I love that road down to Melton, great fun.
