Ollie Bridewell - a loss to BSB
Not sure where I should post this but...............
Ollie Bridewell, British Superbike Rider for Team NB lost his fight for life after an accident at Mallory Park on Friday 20th July during the open practice session. Although these riders know the risk of racing motorbikes it is always a shock when such an accident takes place. These riders have all the safety protection that is available and yet they still risk their lives participating in this sport. It is so important that we all ensure that we are best protected while out riding but that accidents can happen with the worst consequence being loss of life. Ollie at the age of 22 had many more years to enjoy but this motorbike accident took his life, even though the medical staff did their utmost to save him. I send out my condolences to all of Ollie's family, the team that he rode for and all of his friends who have lost someone special in their lives, especially remembering those who tried to save him........this is an incredibly hard time for them as well.
Remember everyone that when you are riding, it doesn't matter how much protection you have, you are always vulnerable.............so please ride safe and enjoy your biking, don't take risks and always remember that when you go out on your ride to remember that you have loving family and friends.
God bless you all.
