Just spent a week in the fatherland (hiraeth is a longing thing). The scenery is utterly gorgeous. The rivers are warm-swamm a lot in the Rheidol, Ystwyth and up by Soar-y-Mynedd. And surfs up!
Go there before the second week of September!

Report on MCN about the local chief of police for North Wales-he wishes to ban bikes in national parks. Report in local news-same police chief gets made into a bard at the eisteddford (he's English but it seems he's written a poem in Welsh). This was after he had the chief bard a speeding ticket. Said he hoped his victim had a sense of humour.

went over to the west coast the other weekend to a place called machynlleth. Used the A470, what a brilliant road.

People were friendly, no police and no camera's all made up for a fantastic weekend.

The A 470 is the bestest road in the UK. It goes from Cardiff way to Dolgellau. And it's thoroughly lovely. Oh grief, lost the plot again....
