No not a diary, or a big poo:

Hit a log on the road. Tbird just shook her head and carried on. At 80 mph.

A sheep ran out on me across the moors the other day, going slow due to lots of animals on the roads any faster and there would have been lamb burgers on a Triumph barbecue. Shame as that section is a great road with good vis if the animals were fenced in it would be fantastic. I often pass that way and am aware of the risk but they tend to head off-road, this one was on a suicide mission (the Jasper Carrot sketch springs to mind). This time of year is worst as the lambs have been weaned and the mothers aren't looking after them so they are developing their own form of road sense, or lack of it. Still I regularly see a couple of guys flying through that section of road on R1s Doh!

Hey Cully was it a pigeon? They fly low along the lanes between the hedges. I had a few near misses and by the sounds of it I was lucky. My brother hit a bat, nearly took his head off.

Hi Tomsk, I think it was a Starling or slightly smaller bird, it happened so fast I didn't manage to get off the gas!! I thought that I'd been hit by Iron Mike Tyson ha ha. My advice is if you can avoid hitting wildlife without endangering youself or others do it.

Ride safe
