Do heavier bar ends make a lot of difference to the "steering speed", is it noticeable (or just slightly less effort) has anyone tried it? any problems encountered? Inquiring minds want to know.

Never noticed the difference much. Guess there could be an extra leverage at low speeds. Probably more of a result when the inevitable falling off at 1/2 MPH happens...

Checking around on other forums, seems the only effect is damping handlebar vibes. Which is, I guess, why you bought em.

Yeah the vibe damping thing I would expect but spoke a guy who had just fitted quite large bar ends and he was raving about the difference they made. Never done a with/without comparison on the same bike so difficult to know, but I certainly wouldn't expect a massive difference. Haven't bought any myself but certainly want to avoid the falling off at 1/2 mph thing if at all possible
