Hi all,

I've just had to renew my insurance and spent a couple of hours answering the same questions over and over again (reminds me of an ad on tv!).

Anyway I thought it might be useful if we had a UK based thread where people could post who they are insured with and how much they pay. This might mean that when others need to renew insurance they can save a bit of time by looking through this thread to see where others have found good deals. Important facts are how old you are, how many years no-claims you have and where you live.

To get the ball rolling, I finally went for ebike (http://www.ebikeinsurance.co.uk/). I only have 1 years no claims bonus and am 44 years old living in central London. They quoted me £210 TPFT which also includes legal protection and roadside recovery/homestart.

I've literally just got off the phone from sorting out my renewal.

I got a cheaper quote, but I don't know the company so I'm sticking with the same. BUT I've gone to a 2 bike policy...

I still have my learner bike; I keep it at my parents for freedom up there.

So for a Triumph America and a Kymco Criuser (a well known make but I love her...)

£235.17 3rd T&T for BOTH.

I'm 30, have 2 years no claims, and both are parked off road not garaged. And it's unlimited milage!

I'm with Carole Nash, was £132 full comp, inc recovery, & legal expenses.
I've got 6yrs NCB & had 3 bonus points on my licence.
I suppose my age helps, late 40s plus some!!!

With ebike, £350 fully comp with no NCB, 38 and living in the sticks - Triumph insurance wanted £500, I thought I had a good deal...

Give the following site a try
http://www.thebikeinsurer.co.uk/
It searches about 10 brokers (but doesn't include Bennetts or Carole Nash so you have to do them individually)

It gives you an idea of what's competitive and you can use the results to haggle with your current insurer.
