This is prase where praise is due.
Following an "off" Sunday the 21st May in the cognac area of france (my fault.. going too fast) I binned the tiger in a field. No damage except that I wiped off the gear lever and cracked a couple of ribs. Yes honestly.
Anyway I was managed to limp back to Melle where I was staying. 3rd gear all the way.
The hotel owner then informed me that there was a Triumph dealer in the town and he would give him a ring. It was now 19:00 hrs
Turns out they are closed on a Monday, but the boss drove in monday morning, opened up, stripped a lever off a showroom model and delivered and fitted it to my bike without even telling me. First I knew was when the hotelier handed me a bit of paper saying it was the replacement price for the 06 lever fitted to my 03 invalid. No charge for labour. Parts only price. RESULT.
Anyway, if any of you are ever in the NIORT / La Rochelle area of France then the dealer in Melle is your lifeline. I cannot praise him enough. And to think of all I have said about the French over the years.... ugh
They are on the official site : hdm Mechanique.
BTW. tyres in France are 25% cheaper and he doesnt charge for fitting....
This was first posted on the tiger forum , before I realised there is a RAT forum.....

:-D :hammer:
