The bigger they are the easier to see,the higher the driving position the easier they can see us. There are pluses to 4x4s and i have found that being mostly a slowish bad handling vehicle on the road they are less likely to race you from the lights or be tailgating you on the motorway,i have found them much easier to deal with than a boy racer in a Ford Focus or Honda civic with those ridiculous bake bean tin exhausts. At least a Land rover driver or similar isn't going to put his or her foot down when you are in a mid overtaking position because they are proberly flat out anyway, and no i dont have one.

Weather forecast looks poor (read wet) for Sunday. To old/fat/lazy/dented to get macho about it + we put up with that ****e all winter. Sat looks great but Sun at the mo looks like heavy rain from Cornwall to Kent. Lets keep one eye on the weather if it's pissing down how do you fancy waiting for good weather? Either that or I could bring my flippers. :???:

Don't blame you. I think a summer run in pouring rain would be more like an endurance test than fun. Let's wait for good weather. Time to start a new topic on fairweather bikers.
You're right, last winter was bad enough. No sense in recreating it in July.
