Thumbs up New Dealer - Triumph North East

Be the first to visit "Triumph North East" the new solus Triumph dealer, opening this Saturday, 19th June.

Aside from a full range of bikes they will be stocking the full range of clothing and loads and loads of other Triumph goodies. I will lead a rideout to Triumph North East this Saturday, leaving Washington Services, Northbound A1(M), at 1045hrs.

Look out for the black Sprint with the "Blackrat" logo.

Just got back from Triumph North East at Newcastle. It is looking promising. I had a chat with the sales manager and one of the Directors and find them keen to do business. They are putting a number of demonstrators on (8 in total) over the next week or so, as they gear up to full capacity, including a Sprint GT.

They are at Dinsdale Place, Newcastle NE2 1BD, tel 0191-2327180 which once held "Just Harley" - now its Triumph only!

I had a ride up on Saturday. It is looking very promising. They had most of the demonstrators parked up outside. I wonder if we could get a forum discount on accessories etc?

Will they be charging 'Triumph Lifestyle' prices for parts and servicing? If so, there is no reason to change from M&S.

The writings on the wall and it's both good and bad - just depends on what you want/need. Our local dealer doesn't bother to keep any clothing or accessories, isn't too bothered about promoting the bikes, they focus mainly on other marques (Suzuki) and servicing. I hope they don't lose the franchise as they are a good team but they are only a small outlet - although it would probably be a lot bigger if they gave it more of a push!

I can see Triumphs point; all-in-one stores with accessories and clothing, stock each type of bike, offer test rides - it sounds a bit like what Harley does in the States doesn't it?

How many small Triumph dealers over here don't even have a bike, ANY bike, for test rides? I mean, just how many sales are they losing?

Having said that, my experience of MandS was always good. Shame.

north east triumph

M and S always had a good selection of new triumphs and in my experience the staff always seemed to be pushing them as one of their best sellers, called in this week and they said they can still service all the triumphs as they had invested quite a bit in tools and software also i think there is a lot to be said for experience, from my point of view my triumph will be staying at M and S. You never know when i come to change next year depending on finances i might choose another brand just to show triumph what i think is a mistake .GOOD LUCK M AND S. (ps looked at some triumph clothing and it looks like its made in taiwan hein gerike/dainese looks like better gear, just my opion)

Same here - I need reliable servicing, not 'lifestyle' products and car style showrooms.

Apparently Triumph had wanted M&S to change their name to Triumph Newcastle and get rid of other makes!

will have to ride up to the "Toon" someday and have a look

sorry to say that I gave up on M&S when they closed the Durham (Finchale Road) branch down earlier this year...Newcastle is a bit of a trip when I can get things (or work done that I cannot do myself) much closer to home.

M&S Durham were a really nice bunch too.

Can anyone comment on what the parking is like at Triumph North East

cheers

Chris

Parking is vey easy at Triumph North East. Also I believe Gary Milburn who works at Triumph North East used to be a manager at M&S Durham.
