Independent Servicing

Anyone use other than a dealer for service?

I have an '05 Speed Triple 1050. Local dealer want over £200 for my 6k service which is little more than an oil change.

A dealer I have used before and trust (Suzuki/Honda dealer) have qouted around £120 for the same job. Only thing they cant offer over Trump dealer is hooking it up to the diagnostic computer.

Think I know where my money is going for this service.

Hi and Welcome to the forum !! if you can, do the work yerself, tick off the stuff you did and get the dealer to do the rest, should save you a few £££ and you still get the book stamped.

download this PDF from Triumph......

http://www.triumph.co.uk/media/Speedtriple_05.pdf

just check its for your VIN, ok !!

have fun !!

If you`ve had it from new you realy need to get out more

Its out of warrenty, do it yourself and keep receipts. Mines just had head gasket change while in for the 24k valve check, not main dealer but certified Triumph(and ex main dealer).
Labour still not that cheap, but knows his bikes(unlike the main dealer)

Cheers guys.

I've not had it that long, but you are right, I do need to get out more!

Where is the dude you take yours to Pete? I'm not a million miles from Chester. Don't mind a run if its saves a few quid and to someone recommended. Not much faith in my local dealer.
