August 19 Ride to Big Bear

Art at Doug Douglas has posted the details of the next IE RAT ride.

Next IE RAT ride is Sunday, 8/19. We will leave the store at 10am and head Northwest up 15 to 138 west and meet at the Circle K right next to the 15 to see if anyone catches up to us there. We will leave there at 10:45. From there we go East past Lake Silverwood to 18 and follow the ridge all the way to Big Bear for lunch. After lunch we will take hwy 38 down and back to the dealership. Should be a great time!
*
All are welcome to come along. We have all skill levels--and the fast riders can ride as fast as they want up front while the rest of us slow pokes can enjoy the scenery.

The dealership is located at 24769 Fifth St., San Bernardino, between Waterman and Tippecanoe. You can meet us there or at the Circle K at Rt 138 and I-15.

We haven't had a group ride for a couple of months, and nothing is scheduled for July, yet. We have a bike night on the first and third Wednesdays of the month, at the Corner Bakery in Redlands on Orange Street at 7:30 p.m. The rides are usually planned there. The next one will be July 17. Hope you can make it.

There is a google group for I E RAT you can join and keep up with the group through emails.

https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!...landempire-rat

Art at Doug Douglas Motorcycles is also supposed to keep a calendar of events on http://www.douglasmotorcycles.com but the events page is sadly outdated.

Hope to see you and we can get another ride organized soon. Also, check out the LA/Orange County group on the forum. They get a monthly ride organized (although not yet scheduled for July, plans are in the works for some kind of ride down toward San Diego county, possibly Mount Palomar.) (See Rides & Events.)

Hope to see you at the bike night, at least.
