Anyone nearby the philly area? Always down to ride, hitting the twisties or just taking it easy. I like a little of both.

Or perhaps if any of the NY/NJ folks ever head out this way for some cheese steaks, just drop a note here. mmm cheese steaks

Currently riding a Daytona 675, curious to see what other triumphs we've got around here!

Hey James- I'm in Mount Airy, and I guarantee you've ridden past my house, as it's on the one super fun twisty road between Mt. Airy and Chestnut Hill- also, the crashiest road in the area when it rains, but I digress. There is at least another Striple owner I know within a couple of blocks of me (a couple of blocks south of Allen on Lincoln).

Have any of you ever done the Chin On The Tank rides that start at a gas station in Fairmount?

Hey Marc,

You must literally be around the corner. I'm just up Willow Grove past the 7-11.

And I think one would have to have at least a Triple to merge onto Lincoln. :O

I've ridden with Chin on the Tank several times. Adam and Ed are really nice guys and do a great ride. It's been anywhere from 10 to 30 bikes when I've been. A lot of cafe'd Honda CB's. They like to ride fairly fast, and their rides start late enough that it's usually in the dark. Conshohocken roads at night are a bit sketchy. I likely prefer a slower ride than they do, but also the rides I did with them were on my Enfield. The Enfield isn't exactly a speed demon. ;) They usually do an hour or so ride through Fairmount Park to Conshohocken, and then back into the city to a bar. They're definitely about the ride, which I like. I'd be happy to join you sometime if you'd like to go. (I think this Thursday is supposed to be rain, and they don't ride in the rain.)

There's also Two Wheel Tuesdays. They meet at The Abbaye down on 3rd. No group ride--just an excuse to ride to a meetup and look at bikes. (Bike builder Bill Becker is often there. In fact, he left a note on one of my Enfields, which is how I found out about it.) I don't really go often, but again--nice group of people. The guy who manages Manayunk Triumph is often there.

Feel free to shoot me an email if you'd like to grab a coffee sometime, or if you're interested in checking out Chin on the Tank.

Hi all,

Neal, from just south of everyone in Wilmington Delaware. Ride a 77 T140. There's a bunch of really nice backroads down here in the Brandywine Valley, plus a gorgeous ride down to Rehoboth Beach along the coast and marshes. Perfect for an old british bike. Although I work in Philly (at Drexel) I haven't taken my bike up there. Would love to do a chin on the tank ride but I'm not too keen on riding up 95 into the city, esp in the evening. Hit me up if you're down my way, or want to grab a beer in the city sometime to chat bikes. I usually make the rounds to the shows in the area too, Gathering of the Nortons, etc. Just noticed this show also which I think is new: https://www.independentsshow.com/

Neal.
