This is a 'must go' Rally organised by some great folk from Otago and Southland. Site is 1 Kilometre South of the Kaka Point Pub on the Catlins Road East of Balclutha.

A team from the R&R's is attending and are meeting up with ChCh riders from town at BP Rolleston @ 0900 on Friday 19th.

All welcome to ride along with some interesting guy's and gal's. Down via the East Coast. Home up the Centre.

Hi lovecuba, I usually go to the Pissed Penguin, it's a great little rally.

I usually go down via Danseys Pass, Middlemarch, Lake Mahinerangi, Round Hill, Manuka Gorge, Milton, Balclutha and out to Kaka Point.

That is one of my favourite routes, sometimes I go over the Dunstan trail rather than through Middlemarch when going that way.

Dunstan trail is usually still closed when the PP is on though.

Kyeburn to Middlemarch would have to be one of the sweetest pieces of tarmac road you could ever ride on, on any sort of bike! (IMHO)

Never know what route to come home until I start the bike and head home from the rally.

Even then I have changed my mind and gone off in some other direction, it's that sort of rally really! Cheers John.

Friday 19th & Saturday 20th September is the official go.

There is quiet a team of us leaving Rangiora on the Friday. As to which route, weather will dictate. Last year we rode via SH 1 all the way to Balclutha and on the way home via Clydevale, Beaumont, Alexandra, Cromwell, Omarama, Fairlie.
