I went with IXIL exhaust for my Sprint. I think I will be one of the very few who don't run Tridents on their Sprint....

I like the look of the short gp style exhaust---dunno why Triumph was insistant on covering up the swingarm-less side of the wheel. I currently have a cheap high mount from star cycles (barracuda?) that I picked up for $200 last summer, but it was another case of me not buying what I wanted and now being unhappy--and having to rebuy what I originally liked.

Before you do that...

I called Triple motorcycle repair, they are new and on 51 ave and about 91 street (North of the Totem Lumber) or thereabouts. They do tire install for $30 if you just bring the wheel in.

Not too bad.

I think that I was pretty much the only one who showed up at Echo on Friday night for the wine and cheese, and Saturday morning for the pancake breakfast--both were dead in comparison to last year.

I won't hold it against you, mine just turned 6 a couple months ago too. PS, kids like pancake breakfasts...mine always accompanies me.

Last time I was over the line it seemed like everyone behind a service counter had the same name - "TRAINEE".

They were trying to take that from his commission.

Their service is very bad. I live in Lethbridge and was told that I could arrange to have the bike serviced on Saturdays. So I made an 8:30 AM Saturday appointment to have the 500K service done. I tried every two days for three weeks before the appointment to confirm, and all day the Friday before. Each time I phoned nobody was there to answer, I left messages, and my calls were never returned. So I left Lethbridge at 5:30 and when I got there I was told that they don't take Saturday appointments, that their policy had changed!

The left knee pad was coming loose, so I asked them to fix it since it was in for the service. The mechanic shoved goop in and used a knife on the paint to clean off the goop that oozed out when the pad was pressed back on. They did make good on this later, but I still can't get a Saturday appointment. I've been directly told I need to take time off work during the week to get them the bike.

I don't know how the he\\ they expect people from outside of Calgary to buy their product with service like that. As happy as I am with the bike, I can't recommend Blackfoot to anybody if they need any kind of service support.

OK, I feel better now.... Sort of...

Steve
Totally agree with your service experience. Mine was exactly the same (unanswered phone, unreturned messages). I live three hours away from Calgary in B.C. Also bought my bike at Blackfoot. I tried to make a Friday appointment for my first service. They could accommodate me on the day I wanted...but couldn't guarantee the bike would be ready at the end of the day. Huh?!? You mean I can't wait for it to be serviced even though I'm making an appointment and coming in from out of town? Luckily, I picked up an oil filter when I took delivery of the bike. I guess I'll be doing my own service.

And, thanks for the Motorrad linkie. I guess I'll be trying there in the future.
