Purolator Pure One oil filters

Just wondering, as these filters are favorites, and I cannot find them in Europe, I looked for them in Canada (montreal) whenever I return on business. So far no luck. Do they exist in canada and more specifically in the Montreal area?

Funny thing about oil filters..
I was in the States this weekend. I went to Walmart of all places to get some windshield wipers for the car. Saw some motorbike oil filters and checked for my Bonnie. Found a Fram filter.. Now I have always used Triumph filters from the dealer. 16$ I believe.
Fram was 6.86$ USD. The biggest kicker, the fecker is made in the Mississauga..

I've heard that Fram aren't so good... (so says my know-it-all buddy)

However, I get WIX filters from Autovalue. Again around $7-$8. The part number for my bonnie is 51358.

Maybe we should have a Canadian parts thread?

I'd always heard the same about Fram filters but my TBS has 70,000km on it, oil changed at 5000km intervals and all with Fram filters.
Not my first choice, but they've not caused me a problem.

Hey Everyone,
In Canada:
Head to your local NAPA and pick up the 1356 (long) or the 1358 (standard) Wix filters. Wix are top quality and equal to the Puro filters.

This probably deserves it's own thread... But has anyone ever seen or used one of these?

At the bottom of their FAQ page is some Q&A about it.

why be cheap?

I am usually frugal, but for the extra $10 for a filter twice a season (I change every 5000km) I buy from my Triumph dealer. I'm sure I spend $10 a week at Starbucks (or Tims since it is roll up the rim again this month). Same for oil, I could buy cheap oil but for the extra $5 a litre (extra $20 a change) I buy the expensive stuff. I know it is an extra $30 altogether but I do the change myself, and if you are hung up on $30 what do you do when it is time for tires?

Owning a motorcycle is only a cheaper alternative if you are in India or China.
