Why does the largest city in Canada have no Triumph dealer? Does anyone know?

I agree. Why??? The more shops, the better. Currently we have them in Hamilton, London, Stayner and Ottawa.

One of the biggest complaints I have is that the existing shops in Ontario -ie Hamilton and London are open at select times. They do not take into account the distance many owners travel to visit their sites. I have traveled to London twice to visit their shop and both times they were closed. Once early on a Saturday on a long weekend (they closed Saturday because of Monday) and once on a Saturday but it was after 2:00 pm - closed (I got there at 2:15). The Hamilton shop is no longer opened on Mondays as of Oct 1. Guess when I visited them?

You would figure these shops would remain opened on weekends when many of us can get away to check things out. I finally had to purchase the clothing and parts I wanted at a Triumph shop in Indianapolis (down for a wedding) that was opened. Sometimes you have to try on the goods before you can purchase.

I asked some of the dealers locally about opening a franchise in Northern Ontario and they said it was too expensive.

What really is involved in starting a Triumph dealership from a dollar outlay point of view?

While I was getting new tires mounted at my dealer (Ottawa Good Time Centre) last week, I asked Jason if he'd heard anything regarding the Toronto situation. According to the dealer grapevine, he says that there may be two Triumph dealers coming to Toronto - in the east and one in the west ends. Maybe for next season. That's all I heard... take it for what it's worth.

I do work at a motorcycle dealership. I have to ask you a couple of questions. #1 How many hours do you work in a day. #2 Do you work six days a week as I do. We are open 61 hours in a week, and I am here for all of them. We love motorcycles as much as you all do and only get ONE day to ride.

Sorry rob. Wasn't trying to create more work for you or your store.

The Issue is the limited accessibility many of us have to Triumph shops in Ontario. These shops are providing a service for their customer. If they cannot provide the service the customer is forced to look elsewhere. No customer, no revenue, no jobs, etc etc etc. I'm not saying work more hours, but maybe better hours.

Oh yes, you asked a question. I do work between 50 and 60 hours a week & often on call on weekends. Our minesite is opened 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year so I appreciate getting to see Triumph cycle shops whenever I can.

Gregger, where up north are you? I am working up in the Soo for a while and might be up there next summer.
