Who is going...what's your route?

I'm leaving Edmonton either Thursday night or Friday morn (haven't decided yet) and heading down HWY 3 till I hit the Olds turnoff, then West till HWY 22. South to Cochrane (HWY 1), then West till HWY 40 going through Kananaskis. I'll stay on HWY 40 till it turns into 940, then follow that till Crowsnest Pass. I'll follow that Highway (HWY 3) till Salmo, then North to Nelson.

We will going on Hwy 33 through Beaverdell and Rock Creek on Friday the 13th. GOing to avoid Hwy 6 through Nakusp due to the Nakusp Music Festival. TOo long of a wait at the ferry AND they no longer give motorcycles priority boarding on inland ferries ( ***** ********...)

Really? Cause you can fit a dozen motorcycles in the space of an RV.

Come to think of it, I don't think that they gave us priority last year... Westcoaster told me that the coastal ferries give MCs priority, I imagine that is because 12 motorcycles is more $$ than an RV.

Yes. Free ferry you see, no money to be made
Was on the Needles ferry last week and the deck hand told us there were fist fights breaking out between motorcyclist and "other" people on the Canada Day long weekend.
It's even posted on the ferry schedule at Shelter bay "No Priority loading for Motorcycles."

I totally disagree with that new policy.

I'm heading up from Salt Lake. I'll be taking off Wednesday morning and plan on being there sometime Friday. Don't know if anybody else from this area is going.

It doesn't appear as though many from this site are going...

Hey Oobaby--are you gonna make the trip from Omaha this year? How was the Isle of Man TT? I apologize for ignoring you last fall but I was in Cuba.

I will be heading up from Moscow, ID Thursday morning. Probably going up 95 thru Sandpoint, Bonners Ferry, and then up the East shore of the lake . I am flexible though is someone wants to hook up and do a different route.
