Any fellow Canadians planning on attending the Gettysburg RAT Raid in September? I'm making the trek along with my BMW-riding brother. Will keep an eye open for any of our fellow travellers.

I'm thinking about it but I'm more of a one-day tourer. I normally like to scout the roads out first prior to venturing out on the bike. Hence, If I knew the roads well, I probably would not be hesitating.

I've been to Gettysburg once before. A cool little town with lots of history. It left an impression on me. Stayed in the town overnight on my way to Florida about 20 years ago. Had no expectations but was pleasantly surprised.

Sounds like a plan! Mapquest says it is an 8 hour trip (not counting breaks and border crossing and I am sure assuming posted speed limit to the letter). We are planning to roll out of Aurora around 8:00 am and time the arrival for cocktail hour. I'll send you our planned itinerary by e-mail and see if we can arrange a group ride.
