I belive a proper intro is in order, I've been lurking around this board for a while I've finally decided to post.

I'm the proud owner of a 2006 Speed triple that I just closed the deal on today :-D :-D :-D :-D .

I'm new here but I'm not so new trumpets:

Here's my old speedy



It was sold to a guy in Calgary in 05, who I hope is lovin' that bike as much as I did. I so regret selling it but circumstances dictated it at the time.

This is my project bike





It's mostly in the planning/parts gathering stage, I haven't done much to it over the winter due to an unheated shop, but I assure you the tank isn't being held on with vicegrips any more :razz:
I'm new to the old triumph game so progress moves extra slow, I'm shooting to have it running by August though.

And even though It's not a triumph, it's the next best thing, my katoom



In a couple of days I'll pick up Speedy mk II, I'll post some pics when she arrives, the Arrow half system should be shipping this week so I can bark at my sh!tty neighbours.

I hope it stops snowing cause I got helluva itch to scratch :evil:

I'm looking forward to seeing the pics as you progress with the restoration. I'm a member of the British Motorcycle Owners Group here in Vancouver and many of the boys have the old bikes. Those old bikes are always a pleasure to see.

The 71 isn't really a resto, best of what I could call it is a "period resto-mod" in hot rod speak. It'll be a early sixties styled bobber in this fashion:



When I got it it was best described as a rolling basketcase, with the original frame having some questionable welding in it's distant past, that is why I'm going rigid.
I'll put stuff up as time rolls on. The pics you see are about six months old

Snowing all day is sh!ttty! Just got back from Vegas where it was high 20s low 30s... couldn't resist so I rented a harley for the day and put 600kms on thru Death Valley--low 40s.

Glad to see you around the board, hope to see you around town. I'm on a black 04 S3 with a CF flyscreen stolen off a buell.
