OK, I have been looking for a Classic Triple for far too long! I came very close with a really clean '98 TBS in Toronto but the seller had done a deal with someone driving down from Ottawa that he would give him first option on the bike, despite the fact that I was already there and ready to buy! Needless to say, Ottawa guy bought it, it had only done 4000km and looked brand new for $5000. Arghh!!
So now I am asking if anyone on this list has or knows of someone who has a suitable triple for sale? If this goes on much longer I may have to buy a H**** or something to get on the road before the snow falls!!

Sorry Aero,

I was the "guy from Ottawa" who bought the bike from Pat. I hawked him shortly after he posted the add, as I was also in the market (obviously). I had actually called him that Sat at about noon to tell him I'd be up to see/buy it around 5 or 6 PM if all went well. At that time he notified me he had another gentleman who was interested, to which I stated I'd not bother if it was in jeopardy of being sold while I was en route. Pat stated he had already told the other prospective buyer that I had first dibs on it. Not often you find a seller like that. The bike cleaned up beautifully and actually had less than 3500 Km on it (not any more).

I hope you've found one since then, they are a rarity to be sure. If not, good luck.... perseverance prevails, I searched for almost a year and was about to go the import from the US route.
