Yes it was a great day for a ride. My wife and I rode to Paris for the hot apple fritters at the Brown Dog café. Scrumptious

Definitely worth the trip Brown Dog is one of my favourite destinations when I've got nowhere in particular to go but still feel the need to get out on my bike!

Yes and not bad roads to get there on as well. Maybe we should set up an autumn Rat ride to that destination some time.

Right at the end of the Hockley Valley road you run into a restaurant. We were there this summer. No idea what the name of it is. Just remember it being right at the dead end. Kind of a rustic place. Apparently in the summer its filled up with bikers. Anyway we enjoyed eating there.

Motorcycle Shows

There's snow on the ground today so I'm starting to think about motorcycle shows. There are two coming up soon:

Dec. 7-9 downtown
Jan. 4-6 at the airport centre

Anybody going? Any preferences?

I've been to both over the years but I'd like to hear your opinions.

I haven't been in a few years because the price to get in the door is getting outrageous and there isn't any really good show deals anymore. I used to cruise the shows for ideas and new products, but that's easily found online these days. I might hit up a few shows this year but it won't be a family event like it used to be for us.

I usually go to the one at the international center. You can usually haggle with some of the vendors, it's worth a go to see what you can get.

I think I'm going to try to go to the international center this year. Also just sent a bunch of parts to get powder coated black so the bike will look a lot different at our first ride in the spring

Winter is the time for mods. I look forward to seeing the results in the spring.

It's looking like I won't be able to make it to the International Centre this year, so I want to get to the show downtown this weekend.
