Calgary to Jasper Ride... Info please

Hey all,

I am going to take a trip August 14 – 16 and it's been 15 years since I made a trip to Jasper from Calgary and was wondering if there is a fuel stop between Lake Louise and Jasper…

Also if you may know of some scenic stops along the way that would break up the trip and any better than average lodging, it would be appreciated.

Hi there, as it happens part of my 9 day journey will be Tuesday the 11th when I should be making my way from Prince George to Calgary via Jasper and Banff. I will try to get on a computer by the 12th at the latest to let you know what I find. Also looking forward to other replies.

There is...

I can't remember exactly where, somewhere in the middle of highway 93. It's been two years since I've ridden it. It was however on the way back from Alaska, very late at night. Probably around 11pm, and there was a buzzer to ring for after hours gas. Hopefully someone will come along with a few more details.

Good find Geckosgal, lots of information in that article... Sounds like an enjoyable and straightforward trip.

I know of Banff, Lake Louise and the Ice Field stops, any other spots to check out?

Yep there is fuel at Saskatchewan's Crossing. It is where Highway 11 meets Hwy 93. You are just shy of 200kms from Jasper at that point. I think you are about 175kms from Jasper.
