Hi All,

I am planning on buying a bike this spring (still haven't decided between Speedmaster or Scrambler) and wanted to get some info on dealer fees. (It seems pointless to negotiate a lower price for the bike only for them to add freight and prep, to which they could reintroduce any discount you got off of the price.)

I live in Ottawa and have family in Hamilton so would probably buy at either Sturgess (Hamilton) or Goodtime Center (Ottawa), although freight and prep info for other Ontario dealer would be appreciated.

Additionally, I would also consider buying in Montreal as well.

When I was in Sturgess today I dropped by David Carvell's desk and asked your question. He said that Freight, P.D.I. & O.M.V.I.C. come to $839.00 + they charge $15 if they have to get you a plate.
