Bull's accident

Hi all,
just thought I'd share this story with you all. Bull is a guy who is on the Ratbag site quite a bit who has just had a pretty nasty accident. This is a copy of the thread his wife put on the Ratbag site.

Dear Everyone,

My husband Bull is currently in hospital. Today at about 1145am on the road from Numimbah to nerang Another Motorcyclist who was not someone we know, clipped Bull.

He ran into the cliff face.

The Rider who clipped him fled the scene!!!!!

Currently he is in intensive care and is stable. It was serious touch and go earlier today they did think he was going to die.

He has,
Broken collar bone
Broken sternum
Bleeding in the sack around the heart
broken arm and wrist
broken pelvis
broken femur
bleeding around where the broken pelvis is.

He is in an induced coma and will be for the next 3 days at least.
He will not be able to walk for some time and will not be able to go back to work for 12 months.

I am only home now for a couple of hours to try to get some sleep and get the things the hospital needs.

Please can I ask that if anyone wants any questions or wants to leave well wishes that they do this via the skips and in the form of a PM.

I must thank Steve and Sue, even though Sue is in hospital, Steve came and helped me and got Bull's bike which is a rite off.

I must thank the Skips, they are watching our children tonight and are helping out and came down and made sure I was ok

I must thank my friend Sonia who is not a rider but she came down, helped with the kids and well all sorts of stuff.

Bull may look like a rough and tough and have an attitute but today I thought I was going to lose the love of my life and my best friend........

This man has a heart of Gold.

thanks for your time.

Bulldawg is organized a fighting fund to help Bull's wife and two kids. The response to this has been fantastic and makes me very proud to be part of the wider motorcycling community. If any Rat would like to pass on their regards I'm sure Bull's wife will be pleased to hear from you.

I certainly sympathise with Bull's wife and kids and I do hope Bull pulls through ok.

Mrs. Bull is fine, she also rides a Triumph, an America. She also happens to work for me, so luckily she has an understanding boss and is being well looked after, in that respect! Bull is a mate of mine who is a very quick and capable rider. A guy on a faster sportsbike was struggling to pass him and overtook him coming in to a corner and then moved across his bows, clipping his bars, whilst trying to brake.

It`s quite possible that the rider didn`t even know it happened. Bull is the size of Hulk Hogan so it`s also possible that the rider knew what happened but didn`t fancy hanging around to face the consequences of payback from a great big angry rider who has just been stuffed into a ditch.

There is a thread on the RATBAGS forum to raise money for them, if you would like to join the forum and make a donation I`m sure it would be gratefuly received. As I write this, Bull is still in an induced coma and has not regained consciousness since the accident on Sunday.
