In Brissy/Gold coast area...
Giday, I'm coming over for about 3 weeks in June to go to the Winternats drags and have a holiday.
Want to check out any Triumph shops as a matter of interest, and maybe hire a bike to pootle around on in the GC, hinter area.
Any suggestions on where to hire a bike and can someone tell me the best Triumph dealers to checkout.

Cheers.

is the Triumph dealer on the GC. I run RAT rides on the first sunday of every month and RATBAGS have a ride on the last sunday, so you might be able to come on one of those. Alternatively, a group of us go out most Thursdays for a ride in the Hinterland but the pace is fairly 'brisk' and probably not suitable for cruisers.

Are the most reputable and will hire you a Triumph America or a Ducati Monster 620, depending on what sort of riding you want to do, or these guys...

Have some GSR 600`s, Z750`s and some dangerous looking chinese built Pagsta choppers.

If HD is your thing, these blokes...

will hire you a Hardley Worthitson but they ain`t cheap!

Surfers Paradise also has half a dozen other motorcycle rental firms that will be cheaper than the the above but the fleets usually consist of tired looking Virago 750`s or Cagiva Raptors which have been flogged half to death and dropped more times than Britney Spear`s panties.

send me an email if you want to come on a Thursday thrash.

HD's are'nt my thing.
I like to move at a reasonable pace.

Cheers for that.
Will check them out.
We're staying on a beachfront apartment in Surfers/Broadbeach from 9-20 June after 4 days in Brissy for the drags

I did an enquiry at scoot n toot about hiring a bike for the day to take the missus for a ride somewhere. Was about 250 which I thought was good and they provided all the gear.
Will probably hire the VRod, just as I'd like to see what everyone's raving about.

Might be keen for your Thursday ride, will have to hire something reasonably fast eh?
Then again, dont wanna crash on strange roads and stuff my holiday up.
Will check it all out and get back to you if it all falls into place.

Tony
