06 Scrambler

Info,
After info on Scrambler stuff.
Had 2006 for abit over a year--very happy--had all old Triumps before so know how to tinker etc.

Whats a good set of tyres to piss the original trail tyres off now?
--read someone say AVON road runners on the web.
primary side gear wine--is this standard with the Thruxtons + Bonnies as well?
After market mufflers or suggestion for a exhaust mod
Back brake locks up easily---is this standard
My speedo reads fast --about 10ks over --is this a standard thing with the Thruxtons + Bonnies as well or other Scramblers?
Fuel consuptions--getting about 200ks before reserve on a trip at 100ks phour--hows that sound?
Service book say valve adjust at 10K--do they need ti?

Sorry about all the questions but got to come up to speed with the new technology etc.

Its alot of fun to ride-

Regards,

Wyatty.

Hello Wyatty;

Good questions -

The best answer to your questions that I can give you is to go and talk to Charlie at Turn One Motorcycles. He is a Hinckley Triumph magician, and will be able to advise you on things like tyres, exhausts, whines and noises etc.

You can find him at 34 Stubbs St. Kensington - phone number 9372 1299 - or drop by on Saturday mornings...a few of us gather around there, and it would be good to meet you.

Cheers,

re-scrambler stuff from Wyatty

Thanks for that Kensington info--actually got my bike from the PStevens treasure trove there near Stubbs st,

Will try to drop down this sat morning briefly in between sons cricket + everything elso--did some quick hacksaw work on the mufflers which has come up with a interesting sound.

Not much response of the Web site--maybe I am doing something wrong or reading the wrong forums etc.

regards, Wyatty.
